TABC BOARD MEETING
December 9, 207 @ 1:00PM
Sportmans Warehouse- San Antonio, TX.
Ed Calderone, President, called the meeting to order at approximately 1:00 PM. Guest introductions were done.
Minutes from the last meeting were read (not posted on website) by Debbie Black. Motion to accept minutes by: Stan Foltz and 2nd by Tye Heineman.
Treasurer’s report was given by Stan Foltz. Motion to accept report by: Larry Pederzani and 2nd by Doug Black.
Motion made for Stan Foltz, Treasurer to pay bill for Trophies when he receives it by: Larry Pederzani and 2nd by Tye Heineman. Motion passed. We will be changing banks from Compass Bank to American Bank; Stan Foltz will be taking care of all the particulars for the organization (i.e. IRS tax exempt information, signature cards signed, etc.).
Old Business: Ms. Eddie had member model the jacket that will be given to the SABC for winning the State Championship Tournament. Motion made by Tye Heineman and 2nd by Doug Black to have Stan Foltz pay bill from Ms. Eddie when he receives it. The jackets will be presented to SABC at their January meeting. Ed Calderone, President, commended the officers and directors for doing a good job this last year.
New Business: We have not had any nominations turned in to the secretary for 2008 elections. Motion was made to keep current officers and board members in their current positions by Tye Heineman and 2nd by Doug Black. Ed Calderone, President, asked guest Fred Beard to consider being a Director at Large. Fred said he would consider and get back to the board with his decision. (Please see officer and directors listing at the end of the minutes). 2008 State Championship Tournament Committee’s were formed. Planning committee: Allen Summers, Dave Cole and Robert Rose. Rules Committee Chairman: Ginger Reynolds. TABC Committee Chairman: Stan Foltz. Randi Wayland will be in charge of obtaining the trophies. Tentative site and date for 2008 Tournament is September 27th & 28th, 2008 @ Belton/ Stillhouse. There was discussion on various topics dealing with the tournament. The regional directors and directors at large are to report to the various clubs and report the feedback from the clubs at our next meeting. Our meeting will be held every two months in the Austin/San Antonio area. We will have at least four meetings a year. Ed Calderone, President, will check into booth space for boat shows. Allen Summers reports that he, Larry Pederzani and Randi Wayland are doing a project to build a handicap doc in the Austin area.
There was discussion on tackling other projects or another project and getting all the TABC members to participate.
Greg Hignite will be presented with a T-shirt from TABC at the next Universal City Bass Club meeting.
Stan Foltz made a motion to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Doug Black.
Next meeting will be in February, day, time and location to be announced.
