The main goal of TABC is to promote better fishing waters through restocking programs, sensible aquatic vegetation control and proper management. Other goals are to promote greater sportsmanship among anglers, and participation of our youth.  To promote boating and water safety and create greater public interest in the art and skill of bass fishing. TABC provides communications between anglers, legislators, media, Texas Parks and Wildlife and other state and national organizations.

History and Organization

TABC was officially organized on April 22, 1971 as a non-profit organization under IRS Rule 501 (c) (3).  The management of TABC is comprised of eight at-large directors elected by the board of directors and eight regional directors elected by the membership, the president and vice-president are elected by the board members. Other board members are secretary, treasurer, sergeant at arms and San Antonio Metropolitan League of Bass Clubs representative.

TABC, as an organization, has worked for Texas anglers for over thirty five years. Much of this work has been done "behind the scenes", with the results becoming apparent at a later date. TABC's Board of Directors continually monitors events and proposed ideas that are of concern to the bass anglers of Texas.
